Storm Damage from July 18 - A severe storm on July 18, 2015, brought down numerous trees in the Town of Washington.  There were several reports of wires down, electrical outages and roads blocked with trees.  The Town Road Department responded at approximately 3:00 a.m. and cleared all Town roads by 12:30 p.m.  25 roads were completely blocked by downed trees and several others partially blocked.

Landowners owning property adjacent to the right-of-way where these trees were pushed off the road are welcome to take the wood.  Such wood must be stacked and stored outside the right-of-way.  The Town will address the remaining items beginning in late August.

Clean-up and disposal of trees and branches on private property is the responsibility of the landowner.
